The 2023 Subaru Solterra SUV embodies a fresh chapter for Subaru. A fully electric design signals a shift towards sustainable transport solutions. The all-electric Subaru Solterra gives drivers a taste of environmentally friendly technology without compromising style or functionality.

  1. Sustainability: By choosing to drive the Subaru Solterra, you're making a conscious effort to reduce carbon emissions, leading to cleaner air and a greener future.
  2. Performance: Electric doesn't mean weak. The Solterra offers agile handling and quick acceleration, making every ride smooth and enjoyable.
  3. Spacious Interior: Roomy interiors with modern tech integrations ensure drivers and passengers enjoy comfort and connectivity during travel.

Benefits of Driving an EV

Driving an electric vehicle (EV) brings multiple benefits. Firstly, you'll enjoy fewer trips to the gas station since electricity is your new fuel. Maintenance costs often decrease as electric motors have fewer moving parts than traditional engines. By driving an EV, you also contribute to a reduction in harmful air pollutants, supporting the fight against climate change.

How to Charge the Subaru Solterra and Charging Options

Charging your Subaru Solterra is straightforward. Let's explore the options:

  1. Level I Charging Cable: Included with your Subaru Solterra EV, this cable lets you charge using standard household outlets. It's perfect for overnight charging or quick top-ups.
  2. Level II Charger Installation at Home: Installing an at-home Level II charger accelerates charging speeds. It's ideal for drivers who want a fully charged battery each morning without waiting or stopping at a public station.
  3. Public Charging Stations: Public stations offer a convenient way for you to charge on the go. With increasing numbers of these stations popping up nationwide, finding one near you gets easier by the day.

Where to Charge

You're always close to a charging point. With the increasing popularity of EVs, many malls, office complexes, and public spaces now offer charging stations. Apps and online directories make it simple to locate the nearest station. If you're at home, your Level I or Level II charger has you covered. Transitioning into the world of electric driving is easier than ever.

FAQ's

Electric vehicles (EVs) have a battery instead of a gasoline tank and an electric motor instead of an internal combustion engine.

Fuel is not required in EVs, so you can feel good about owning an environmentally friendly vehicle that does not emit pollutants. Plus with no need for fuel, you can save on the cost of gas and no longer need to worry about filling up at the gas station. EVs also offer instant torque for better performance, have lower maintenance costs, and are quieter as there are no engine vibrations.

The Subaru Solterra can be charged at your home using a Level 1 120V charger or a Level 2 240V charger. We recommend charging your battery every night, just like your smartphone, so you’re always ready to go anywhere with a full charge. A Level 1 charger is included with your Solterra or you can get a Level 2 240V charger professionally installed in your home for an even faster charge**.

**Time to charge overnight based on Level 2 charging speeds. Charge times can vary depending on many factors, including temperature, type of charging system, and condition of the vehicle and battery.

Since your Solterra can go over an estimated 220 miles on a full charge completed overnight, the need to charge while running errands should not be a common occurrence. Should you need to charge while on the go, you have access to over 46,000 public Level 2 or DC fast-charge stations across the United States. If you do need a charge away from home, your best bet is a DC fast charger with a CCS plug. The super-fast DC charger can charge up to 80% of your battery in about an hour

Owning a Subaru EV means you can take advantage of possible tax credits, incentives, and discounts, depending on your location and employer. Learn more about additional EV incentives and tax credits at fueleconomy.gov.
